Built from Real Grooming Experience
SEGULMAT began with a simple goal: to make grooming more comfortable for dogs and more practical for the people caring for them.
In 2022, we began selling our first dog grooming mats made from a single layer of embossed EVA. The soft surface was comfortable under paws, easy to clean and worked well around water. But practical use revealed an important limitation: EVA alone could move on smooth grooming tables.
From EVA to Multipurpose
We wanted to keep the qualities people liked about EVA while improving stability.
By 2024, we developed a two-layer construction combining a textured EVA top surface with a supportive, textured foam rubber base. The new base provided much better grip while keeping the mat lightweight, cushioned and easy to maintain.
That design became our Multipurpose Dog Grooming Table Mat — suitable for home grooming, mobile grooming, professional salons and everyday pet care.
Over time, we also saw the softer construction being used for smaller and older dogs because of its comfortable, cushioned feel.
But EVA has a natural trade-off. Under intensive daily use, claws can eventually mark or puncture the surface. That experience led us to the next step.
Built for Professional Use
Professional grooming places different demands on a mat. Durability becomes just as important as comfort and stability.
In 2026, we expanded the SEGULMAT range with the Professional Dog Grooming Table Mat. Its textured PVC top surface was selected for greater durability, grip and resistance to everyday wear, while the supportive foam rubber base helps keep the mat stable on the grooming table.
We also added a larger 24 × 48 in size alongside the 24 × 36 in version to better suit professional grooming tables and regular salon use.
Designed for the Home
Professional durability is not the only grooming need.
For home grooming, we wanted a mat that could provide comfort and stability while also looking at home in a residential setting.
That led to the Premium Home Dog Grooming Mat, introduced as part of our expanded range in 2026. It combines a soft-touch PU surface with subtle texture and a supportive foam rubber base. Its refined appearance makes it especially suitable for home grooming while retaining the practical qualities expected from a SEGULMAT mat.
Three Surfaces. Three Grooming Solutions.
Today, the SEGULMAT range includes three different surface constructions — EVA, PVC and PU — because no single material is ideal for every grooming situation.
Each mat was developed around a different balance of softness, durability, appearance and intended use. What they share is the same goal: stable support, comfortable cushioning, easy cleaning and practical everyday use around water.
Our products continue to evolve the same way they began — by learning from real use and improving the details that matter during grooming.
